murder at westmall

why would anyone take another person's life? its so scary.. he's so young he doesn't have to die..

i was going for dinner at westmall with jonathan and we saw this crowd gathered on one side.. at first i thought it was some event they were holding then when i saw the police cordon and the guy wearing some t shirt with the word "forensic something something" on it i kinda realised that someone died..

after dinner we went over to the sportslink shop cos i was a bit curious la.. first i saw a shoebox with drop of blood on it.. then we went to the other side to get a better look inside and then i saw all the blood splattered on the floor.. and i kinda wish i didnt see it.. at that time i didnt really associate the blood with someone so young.. someone who had so many years ahead of him.. what could drive someone to take another life?

i read in the papers that the guy's only 17 and his murderer 18.. two young lives wasted just like that.. and why? and it was not enough that he stabbed the guy and walked off, he had to go back in and finish the job by slashing his throat! how heartless can someone be? the thought its just so scary.. why would anyone deserve to die? unless of course he's hurt about a thousand other people.. but normal people like you and me? to die now? at this age? when we have so much life to live...

i dunno why i'm so affected by this.. its just very disturbing and really shocking.. and sad..
