in love with nature :)

we went to sungei buloh yesterday and it was really fuN!

we were supposed to meet at woodlands at 9am, but ama sms-ed me around 8.30 and told me she overslept haha so i met shu first and had breakfast at bk and waited for ama. she came at 10sth..

we took 925 which went on the road that was so close to the sea that you could see malaysia! we saw this really big field with alien-like contraptions while walking in..

the was no entrance fee on weekdays so after arming ourselves with a map each and loads of mosquito repellant, we set off :)

i became the self-appointed map reader cos i kept checking directions at every interval.. we had to seek shelter at the bird observation hides when it started to drizzle, which was very often.. we saw a few types of birds, but the more common ones were the egret, kingfisher and these yellow and black birds (i have no idea what theyre called) which kept chasing each other around and we a few others but couldnt identify them.. haha lucky ama and shu lent me their binoculars or else i wouldnt be able to see them properly, and they were really pretty, i liked the kingfishers best cos they were blue and they were just so pretty :) haha and we saw one bird with a really funky hairdo! like all spiked up like a poser..

we decided to take a walk through the mangroves.. but that was a big mistake, we ended up walking really fast cos we were literally being eaten alive by mosquitoes.. we also saw a really huge disgusting looking mudskipper the size of a fish.. anyway, we were glad to get out of there but were confronted with more mosquitoes on the road back.. haha we hid at the hide(heh) and re-applied mosquito repellant and walked in formation with our umbrellas in front of us and ran like hell!! heh yea.. quite lame.. but it worked..

it started raining heavily and it wouldnt let up so we camped out at the aerie again.. and it was really beautiful up there, you could see the whole area, its 18m above the ground i think and you could see malaysia from there too.. and it was so windy and cool, like natural air-con.. we stayed there for quite long, occasionally spotting a bird and watching it but after a while we kept seeing the same ones so we gave up and started singing songs.. haha

we walked back in the slight drizzle cos the rain wouldnt stop.. then we went home la.. the bus took us to cck instead of woodlands dunno why and we took a train back.. then at bishan me and ama walked around a little and i decided i wanna get the red earth mousse in raspberry or the body shop cheek stain.. both about the same price la.. and they opened fox ladies at j8!! they have like almost everything there! they just have to open starbucks, bk, zara and mango and i wont have to go anywhere else ever..

so at the end of the day, i reached home tired and achey with a new fear of mosquitoes and battle scars to prove it.. but really it was damn fun :) wonder where we'll go next hehe

oh btw, i have to add that my coach accused me of looking at boys, which is why i fell and got those stitches, but that is sooo totally untrue!! i mean have you SEEN the RI boys?! i'd rather not look thank you very much.. but maybe its cos i saw them that i got a shock and fell haha
