Today was a nice day, albeit a little short. He only got back this morning, so after dragging himself out of bed (by choice, mind you, i didnt force him! in fact i asked him to sleep some more) we met for lunch at holland v where we had lukewarm (no actually i wouldn't even call it lukewarm) soup and pasta and potato gratin, then we hopped over to haagen dazs in hopes of trying the chocolate fondue. Alas, another failed attempt. Well, this is the first time we actually made it to the shop, the other times we were just too lazy to leave his house haha! Anyway, the waiter said they'll only have it next week after Tuesday-like wtf?!
heh anyway, i'll revert back to typing the "normal" way.. did you notice i was using proper punctuation, or at least what i think is proper punctuation after being corrupted by the lousy standards of english on the internet for the past god knows how many years..
aanyway.. do not, i repeat DO NOT! try the "cool oasis" at haagen dazs. it started out tasting ok, quite good actually, to give it some credit, but then as you got to the bottom it tasted more like cough syrup mixed with really bitter chocolate and kuachi. i have never ever tasted an ice cream suckier than that. well maybe i have, but that's besides the point. it was really quite traumatising and i had to force myself to hold back my vomit.
it is so bad that i hereby award it the number 2 spot on my "things not to eat when you go out" list. number 1 spot goes to coriander catch at fish&co. that one sucks to hell and back. NEVER eat it unless you want to die a horrible death.. ok fine i'm exaggerating, and i'm not exactly a fan of coriander, but seriously its taste left much to be desired.. even thinking about it gives me the goosebumps.
ok you're probably wondering "which part of the day was actually nice?" hmm i guess it wasn't so much the food that made it nice, it was the company :) aww.. so sweet..
we went back to his house after that to just hang out and watch artistic gymnastics on tv.
oh shit, i havent returned my long overdue library books!
