where's my pepper spray?!

it was 12am and i was hungry so i suggested we go eat at the nearby prata shop.. so the three of us, me, my sister and her friend went.. anyway, everything was fine until we were walking home.. it was slightly after one so it was quite deserted.. i thought we were quite safe you know i mean three girls, strength in numbers, blah blah.. but.. we were stalked by a masturbating pervert.. my sister's friend noticed him first, he was looking at us and touching his crotch.. she thought maybe he had just finished peeing or something.. then later i saw him going up a flight of stairs at one of the blocks and he was masturbating quite obviously.. so we walked a little faster, we thought he was just drunk and he was going home since he was walking up the stairs, but then when we turned around he was behind us, walking quite quickly in our direction and rubbing his groin.. anyway, we kinda ran up into the house and i saw him walking under our block, still at it.. then i called the police and described the man.. but they couldnt find him.. i guess he was gone already la, why would he be hanging around anyway..

my sister's friend stayed over cos it was safer la.. we were talking it over and we realised that he was following us from the coffee shop.. we didnt realise it at first because we didnt think it was the same person, i mean we were full and tired and weren't really paying attention to people walking past us.. yea its quite freaky la.. stupid bastard.. i wonder what he was trying to do though.. i mean so what if he caught up with us? what would he do? we're three girls and we can easily overpower a slightly overweight man in his thirties.. but it was still quite scary and we weren't thinking straight.. we should have confronted him.. but eww.. i wouldnt wanna hit him or anything cos that involves touching him.. gross..

according to my sister's friend, sex crimes are on the rise in singapore.. we are a safe country in a sense that mugging is not very common and widespread, but there are apparently a lot of sex crimes and a lot of them aren't being reported.. i think the police should do something to educate the public, especially young women, about these crimes and what to do should it happen to them.. cos now that we think back, we should have called the police immediately (we only called them when we reached home).. and we shouldn't have run home because then he'd know where we live.. and we should have brought an umbrella to hit him should he have come too close.. staying out late won't be as dangerous if we were taught what to do in situations like that.. and i think that every woman could do with a little knowledge of self-defence.. maybe i should take up taekwondo or something..

anyway, being the paranoid me, i'm carrying a swiss army knife in my bag from now on.. so if i feel as though someone's following me i'll just take it out and hold it in my hand.. but then again, people would probably think i'm some crazy secret society kid who's going to murder someone.. heh and i probably won't be going home so late anymore unless i have my jonathan with me..

btw, does anyone know where i can get pepper spray?
